Mastering Noust's keyboard shortcuts will significantly speed up your documentation workflow.

General Actions

`Esc`	Dismiss any active modal, overlay, or sidebar outline panel (when focused/hovered)

`Ctrl` + `Drag`	Box select multiple notes (on empty background)
`Shift` + `Drag`	Draw a new subsection manually (on empty background)
`Click` (Empty Area)	Click anywhere on empty space inside a note to drag it
`Alt` + `Shift` + `Left Click (Drag)`	Move note by clicking anywhere on its surface (even over text)
`Ctrl` + `Shift` + `L`	Select all occurrences of current selection (multi-cursor)
`Ctrl` + `L`	Add selected text or focused note to Agent context
`Alt` + `Scroll`	Zoom in/out of the canvas (See Linux fix)

`Drag & Drop` (Image File)	Create standalone image note at target position
`Ctrl` + `V` (Image Clipboard)	Create standalone image note at cursor position (when not editing text)
